Beautiful Edwardian Solid Silver & Mother of Pearl Shell Bon Bon basket 1907:

This is an absolutely beautiful Edwardian Bon Bon Basket.
Made from one piece of mother of pearl shell, it is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907. It is hallmarked on both lids and the handle.
The basket sits on a silver stand with silver openwork swing handle.
The piece de resistance are the openwork lids which are in the form of seaweed, which compliment the shell.
Size; approx. 3.75 x 2.25 x 2 inch high.
Condition; Super. I cannot detect any cracks or splits to the mother of pearl. The handle is firmly fixed as are the lids. It stands well.
Overall a most beautiful item from a very extravagant Edwardian period.
