A Large 13 inch LUDWIGSBURG German Porcelain Figure of a Woman (or Queen) in period Costume.

This is a beautifully decorated porcelain figurine by Ludwigsburg of a woman in 18th century period costume. Gold decoration covers the dress over a handpainted Green. She wears a red ermine coat. The face is also beautifully painted. The figurine is quite large measuring 13 inches high. Ludwigsburg Porcelain was founded in the mid 1700\'s and the mark used was the double \"C\" under a crown. The mark was re-introduced in 1948 for special editions.

Marked:on bottom with underglaze blue double \"C\" mark under crown - for Ludwigsburg (mark in use since 1759)

Measures: 13 inches high x 7 inches diameter at base.
