Beautiful large sterling silver filigree box, made circa 1940.
This is a superb and very heavy silver box with fine filigree decoration to the lid and all sides.
The box has a domed wirework handle and stands on four matching feet.
The box is large and heavy - it is 6-1/2 inches / 165 mm wide, 3-3/4 inches / 96 mm deep and it stands 2-1/2 inches / 63 mm high (NOT including the handle).
Made of thick gauge silver, the box weighs an impressive 571 grams.
The box is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.
