For sale this modernist painting of a New England town in the style of French painter Maurice Utrillo. It is unsigned on the front of the painting, though I was told it was the work of Pennsylvania artist Charles W. Coffman (1897 - 1969) and it is signed indistinctly on the verso of the panel. The colors are soft pastel yet very saturated and vibrant. The surface pigment is rich. Very minor retouch, otherwise in excellent condition. The frame is older. The approach is quite modern and painterly. It is not signed. Oil on panel measuring 18 x 22 inches. Framed measurements are 25 x 28 inches. Please ask questions before offerding and good luck.
