Up for sale is this beautiful genuine Persian miniature painting from the mid 20th century. It is watercolor and gouache on an organic surface, encircled by hand-painted Persian illuminations (Tazhib) in blue and gold on paper.
The painting is signed by \"Ali Sadjadi\", a master miniaturist from Isfahan. There is also a label on the back of the picture certifying that it was made in Haji Ali Sadjadi\'s workshop in Isfahan.
Both the painting and the illuminations are intact with no damage of any kind. The \'khatam\' frame is also in a very good condition with inly a tiny part of the marquetry missing (see picture 4).
SIZE: The painting itself is about 2\" X 3 3/4\". The frame measures about8\" X 10\".
