This vintage handmade red pot showcases the skill, craftsmanship of the Potters from the San Juan Pueblo.This highly polished red pot was done by Rosita De Herrera of San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico. Traditionally made with coils of micascious clay, deeply carved designs are matte painted while the base and rim are stone burnished red slip, pit fired. All materials are natural and made by hand, from the clay to the dyes, and every step has been completed by hand, including construction, polishing. It measures a 6\" tall by 6 1/2\" across. It is signed. It is in excellent condition.
