You are looking at a beautiful and VERY RARE Wagner & Apel W&A Bertram Vintage WWII Era Figurine

This beautiful figurine of a little boy playing his accordian has incredible detail! It was made by famous German porcelain maker Wagner & Apel (founded in 1877).The figurinedates from 1935-1949.It shows the company crest, a Crown and the company name \"W&ABertram\", on the bottom.Size: 4 1/2\" tallCondition: Excellent condition with no perceptible cracks, chips, or crazing.It carries the early markings of the W & A stamp above Bertram and with the crown over the letters as shown, which would put them near the 1935 year of manufacture. Later marks were used for other figurines. The figurines were based ondrawings of the two popular children\'s book illustratorsHilla PeykandBertramwhich were sculpted by the renowned German sculptorEugen Dotterweich.
