This offering is for an antique Victorian Woman\'s Wool Cape. The cape has no makers tags or labels so was likely made by a seamstress or tailor. The sewing is a combination of machine and hand stitching. The cape is made of a fine quality dark blue wool with a deep red polished cotton lining. The cape is also has a wonderful 2.25\" wide black and red decorative border. The condition is excellent, especially so given the age of the garment. There is a bit of wear and shredding to the red lining in the center shoulder area as seen in our close-up photo\'s. I also found one tiny 1/8\" hole in the blue wool on the back side of the neck. Otherwise the cap has minimal soiling and there are no rips, tears or repairs.
