This is a Beautiful Refurbished Gigi Flammee 2 in lovely condition overall BUT it does have a nick out of the otherwise crisp bowl rim and a few dings and dents you would expect from a 30+ year old used pipe, and it does have some quite heavy tooth chatter to the mouthpiece end of the stem. Luigi Crugnola took control of the Giorgio Rovera Pipe Co. in Varese Italy on the death of his uncle, changing the name to Gigi, his nickname!! He continued Exporting most of the production, the USA being the biggest market. This Flammee slightly bent rounded bowl-bottom Billiard comes with a beautiful pale grey suede sleeve, confirming it\'s quality status, and is another pipe from the European collection I bought last year dating the pipe to between the early 1980s/ 1990s and being unsmoked for the last 15 years. The briar is a lovely tan colour with outstanding graining, Flame grain around the bowl, and Birdseye on the bowl and shank bottom and the bowl rim. The stem is a flattened oval saddle with Gigi and Flammee logos, original mint condition stinger, but also the tooth chatter as mentioned before. The bowl was reamed and cleansed, the stem was sanitized, and then the whole pipe was polished and waxed to give the wonderful finish you can see in the photos. This is such a pretty, beautifully grained pipe that I can forgive the odd nick and stem tooth chatter. The pipe draws and will smoke perfectly well with stinger in place, even better if like me you remove it!!!....it is wonderfully tactile, light and balanced......Thanks for looking and as usual I will combine postage if you buy more than one of my items from this sale.
