Adorable dainty vintage Norwegian sterling & enamel demitasse spoon:
*Crafted from solid 925 sterling silver
*Elaborate guilloche metal work stands out under shimmery frosty or pearly white enamel
*Hand painted pansy flowers in shades of yellow and blueish purple on the back of the spoon bowl and purple buds on the front and back of the handle stem
*Marked on the reverse of the transition: 925S - overlapping MB makers mark of Bernard Meldahl - MADE IN NORWAY - STERLING - and there are two Swedish import stamps / hallmarks of three crowns in an oval and an S in a hexagon (both of the afore mentioned with a horizontal ridged or lined background). The crowns denote imported items made abroad and the S mark is the sterling metal content quality control stamp
*Bernard Meldahl worked in Oslo and was regarded as a specialist or master of enamel work. He produced circa 1914 - 1950. This example is most likely 1930\'s - 1940\'s is era
*This particular floral line is very rare and difficult to obtain - let alone in mint condition
*Measures about 3 7/8\" long x 7/8\" wide
*Weighs 11.7 grams on my scale
*Fantastic vintage condition - no damage or quirks to mention. View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren\'t considered damaged. I will note anything glaring or distracting.
