Absolute best mid to late 18th Century American hand forged Iron adjustable Bird roasting Spit !! It is fantastic in every respect, but the Iron HEART at the top of Iron Shaft is to die for !!! It is 100% complete with large Penny Feet, 3 separate Spit Hooks and a built in Trivet to hold the Grease Pan ! It is adjustable up & down but worn and doesn\'t want to stay in a upward position. There is a hand forged Nut at the other end of the Heart Shaft which allows it to be taken apart, great for shipping purposes. It also has a lathe turned Wooden Handle that has a crack. This is not a reproduction, I guarantee it !! It is circa 1750-1800, American and found in Pennsylvania. It has no damage or repairs of any kind and measures 37 1/2\" tall X 17\" at the Handle and 14\" wide. I will take it apart to ship, easy to assemble. No doubt the best example I have seen in 40 years of buying quality Antiques. Good Luck, !!
