This beautiful Lolita Natachu signed belt buckle has inlay into silver of an entertaining Thunderbird inlaid in the center and gorgeous decorative inlay work around the frame. The central motif of the thunderbird is wonderful, so refined: fine and graceful and detailed and it is the design of Lolita\'s renowned father, Jacob (Jake) Haloo. Condition is excellent vintage, wearable and collectible, with very minimal age related wear. The belt holder on the back is a swivel holder; the swivel ones are more comfortable than the static wires. It\'s a real treasure signed by the artist and not signed for metal content, which is usual for that age. Note that one author attributes a similar design to Frank Vacit in one of his books, but that would have to be incorrect, since this is a signed piece and signatures trump attributions. The fact that Lolita Natachu\'s work can be confused with the work of Frank Vacit is important, however, because it speaks to how excellent her work actually is. It\'s more whimsical than Frank Vacit\'s work, but at least as fine quality. Note that while Lolita\'s initials are on the piece and Fred\'s are not, she and her husband always worked together so this buckle was doubtless a collaborative effort between them. In those times the artists rarely marked the silver content, but this piece is sterling silver in the overlay inlay style, with the stones and shells hand cut and buffed to fit the upper layer of silver. It\'s a style of work that Jacob Haloo used and taught his children like Lolita Natachu, Dolly Banteah, Rolanda Haloo, Nancy Laconsello, Jake Livingston and his nephew Dennis Edaakie. All absolutely great artists indeed.

First Class International is no longer offered by the US Postal Service.
