This isn\'t a real jack in the box. It looks just like one but it stays open permanently and doesn\'t shut. Chicky doesn\'t pop up either. Chicky is on a spring though so the slightest movement will keep him swaying a bit. The box is 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches and covered in clear glitter. Chicky\'s head is made of paper pulp and he wears a pellon (non-woven fabric) collar. Box is pressed paper. 9 1/2 inches tall.
I looked at this a long time before buying and now I\'m so glad I bought it. At first I thought it was just a small ornament and I didn\'t pay attention to the size. It was a happy surprise to open the box and find it so much larger than expected.
