It lights up (See Photos) and has rotating \"motion lamp\" scene from the Golden Gate area of San Fransisco, California, with para gliders, helicopters, sailboats, sight seeing boats, small boats with outboard motors, fishes swimming, and birds flying through.Made from gold colored plastic material with a working alarm clock in the small wheel. Very collectible, perfect for your favorite dive hang out or sushi bar. The San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge and the marina over by Alcatraz can be seen in the distance. The clock requires 1 AA battery which is not included for postal safety reasons. (It does work quite accurately.)The size of the whole \"Fish Lamp\" is about 16 1/4\" long at the base, 15 1/2\" tall at the handle bars, and about 4 5/8\" wide! Great condition except for a few red \"rub\" marks where it looks like another plastic item must have rubbed up against it in storage.
