RongoRongo Playing Cards inspired byscribes of Easter Island and Polynesian tribal masks. Made in the USA, printedby USPCC.

It’s year 1300; the age of crusades slowly reaches its endin Europe. The population of Easter Island thrives. In five hundred years sincetheir arrival, the people of Easter Island evolved into a highly organizedsociety under the rule of the king wielding god-like power. Throughout theisland large engineering programs take place, moving massive MOAIs to the edgesof the ocean, surrounding the island in statues worshiping their ancestors.

The system of glyphs called RongoRongo is used torecord the events; it may be one of the very few independent inventions ofwriting in the entire human history.

Although the attempts of decode RongoRongoare ongoing for over two hundred years, it continues to evade code breakersand most of it remains a mystery.

Rapa Nui people are famous for their pride and independence.

They continue to fight for their rights to the land on Easter Island which wastaken away from them during the centuries of raids, a foreign company takeoverof the Island and 1888 annexation by Chile.

This project pays homage to RongoRongoscribes who created those amazing glyphs.
