If you\'re viewing this listing, you likely don\'t need me to tell you about the late, great Eddie Beyuka and his body of work, so let\'s get to it...The properly signed slide (see pic 5) is 6 in. tall with the perfect inlay and finishing technique that you\'d expect. The spectacular figure is inlaid with just about every material you\'ll ever see in Zuni work. This includes turquoise, red and orange coral, jet, gold and white shells. Note that many of the inlaid pieces are carved. The total length of the tie, which appears to be original and in good condition, is about 36 in.Those familiar with Mr. Beyuka\'s work know that with his finest bolos he includes his famous hand-made drum tips. Well- here they are and they include an even more special touch- each has two dangling silver leaves inlaid with carved turquoise.Finally; in his hand, the figure holds a separately attached silver \"rattle\". Note on the picture of the obverse that there is a mounting for a second object (a bell?) at the knee- the bell itself is missing. Other than that, the condition is excellent- the silver has developed the warm patina and occasional minor surface scratches that are consistent with its age and use.This is as fine an example of Mr. Beyuka\'s work as I\'ve ever seen- take a look at the photos and see the little details- all in all, it\'s exceptional.Priced to sell.
