This beautiful sterling silver and stone inlay pendant/pin combo is 54 grams. The length is 3 inches and the width is 2 3/8. The face has cut stone mosaic inlay in the shape of the Shalako kachina figure into an oval abalone shell background set in a plain sterling bezel. The Shalako figure is set with turquoise, coral, yellow and white mop and jet all set stone to stone. The setting is surrounded by decorative master silver work with fan shapes at top and bottom and twisted and half round wire with rain beads at the sides. It\'s not marked but is guaranteed to be at least coin silver. I believe it was made in the 1950\'s or around then so it is likely to be sterling, I don\'t want to test it and ruin the patina. It\'s in fabulous conditon, the inlay is incredible and smooth to the touch. Nothing loose, missing or cracked. You can see a cut at the bottom right in the abalone background but that is not damage it\'s the way it was made. This is a rare collectible very likely made by one of the finest Zuni artisans of the mid 20th century, possibly Lambert Homer. The bale is open so this can easily be worn on either a beaded necklace or chain you may already have.
