This vintagemounted black & white print was acquired many years ago from the Pratt& Whitney surplus. We were told it had been displayed in an executiveoffice area for many years. This image from the Hartford, CT offices showing,on the left, George Mead - Chief Design Engineer, and on the right,Fredrick Rentschler - CEO of Pratt & Whitney. Could the engine these men are posing with in the photo be their 1925 R-1340 Wasp prototype?

I estimate thisimage was taken during the mid-to-late 1920s. This image appears to have been printed and mountedfor corporate use approx 50 years ago. It has a smooth matte finish andis mounted on 3/16\" thick black foam core. This bears a number 048 at alower corner (probably a corporate archive number). DIMENSIONS:23-3/4\" x 19-3/4\". I do not have the negative for thisphoto.

This is a greatpiece of Connecticut industrial and aviation history. It\'s also a lovelypiece of Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine history.

Some minor wrinklesor waviness may remain visible at the corners. This has been carefullystored flat in a mylar sleeve.
