Versatile Mid Century ScandinavianArtist

Bjorn Wiinbladwas a prolificdesigner of ceramics, dinnerware, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. Hisdesigns were mass produced by Rosenthal, Nymolle pottery and others and he alsoproduced unique studio items throughout his career. These figures are a productof his studio and were not in general production. He won many awards for hisdesigns and his works are uniquely personal and idiosyncratic. Museums theworld over have Wiinblad\'s work in their collections. Among these are theVictoria and Albert Museum in London; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; andStockholm\'s National Museum.
