Eastern Bontoc Wooden Bag "Koppit / Kupit"
Bontoc elegant wooden bag made of narra wood (pterocarpus indicus) mainly for Tobacco and personal supplies. The saddle-shaped top allows it to be cradled easily under the arm. This type doubles up as a pillow at night and should fit comfortably around the neck.
It feautures a very nice shiny patina, has 2 compartments and possibly an abaca chord which could have been traded with lowlanders.
An ultra rare Philippine artifact!
