Being offered is quite a rare item from one of the artist from the \"Boston Society of Arts & Crafts\" circa 1910.This delicately handmade enameled match holder on hammered copper from the early 1900\'s was made most likely by either Rebecca Cauman or Gertrude Twichell while students at the workshop outlet, the Handcraft Shop. The shop focused on handmade metalwork & enameling and young crafts people made small boxes, bookends and match holders, few are signed. Some of their pieces are in museums and tiny boxes go for several thousands. This is one of these pieces, very detailed wonderful iridescent colors of a blue iris with golden leaves on a deep blue back ground. Although it is not marked it is guaranteed to be an item from this school and period. It is in excellent condition, measures a little over 2 1/2\" in length and 1 1/2\" wide. Please view pictures provided as they are the best description, email with any questions and thanks for looking!
