Good Lemon Gold Gilt inner.With a Heavily Gadrooned Wavy Rim on Four Ball Feet. A Very well done and RARE engravedFrieze of Foliate Decoration including acorns, flowers flowing from an artists paletteand a Celtic motif .The superb quality of design of the decoration of the frieze is really superb and of great interest, the more you look the more you see.

Further Bright Cut Borders. Crested to the front with a Crowned Rampant Lion, rear cartouche is blank.The crowned lion would indicate that the provenance was from a Baron or Duke of the upper echelons of English nobility.Good enough for the best collections or the very best dining table for salts and peppers or for individual sauces.Balance of design and form really delightful and delicate, as often found from the sought after lady makers.
