Here for sale is a genuine Sheffield Solid Silver letter opener which bears the Old English Thread pattern. The peice has a genuine steel blade which has a mirrored finish.The handle is hallmarked but has been heavily rubbed and is therefore not able to have a date put on it, from the condition of the item i can confidently say it is from around the 1900s, more 1910-1920. The Silver handle on the peice is in good condition for its age as you can see in the photos. The marks are good. The letter opener is 20.4 cm in length and weighs 26.8 grammes. This item is boxed as you can see in the photos for yourself or as a gift.
