Modern-day glass technology has mechanized many parts of the glassmaking business. However, Boyd Glass still manufactures the old-fashioned way, with a man and a mold, and not with an automated machine.

Boyd Crystal Art Glass made in USA.No color ever repeated, making it more valuable as time passes. Certain colors like Vaseline & Red(has gold) are very hard to find because of cost involved in pressing.Earlier this year Boyd ceased to make Glass so these items are not readily available any longer except from collections like mine.I must sell to downsize thus these are LOW prices, well below value & below my original cost.

Note from Boyd Glass
Have you ever looked at a piece of Higbee Glass or Fenton Glass or Westmoreland Glass or Cambridge Glass or ANY marked glass factory piece and wondered who actually made it and when? Intheir efforts to downsize, they chose to remove our trademark Diamond B from alltheir moulds, rather than compromise the value of collectors pieces, thus no more marked Glass will be made & The value will continue to increase on these items.

Theydecided to employ a machinist who is skillful at removing trademarks from all 200-plus moulds. With more than 45 years\' experience, he painstakingly peened out our mark and then used a grinder to smooth the cast iron surface markings. John and Bernard took the moulds apart and carried the portion of the mould with the mark to him, as he worked at the press plate. This activity also insured thattheir glassware will retain its worth for years to come.
