50 YEARS OF HISTORY AND INNOVATION

2011 was a major milestone for Brembo, as the company celebrated 50 years of business studded with extraordinary technological, sporting and commercial successes. On January 11 1961, Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda founded Officine Meccaniche di Sombreno, the original progenitor of today\'s Brembo. Already with them was the current group president Alberto Bombassei, who was just twenty years old at the time.This was the beginning of a half century long adventure that has led Brembo to become the undisputed leader in the braking system market. Brembo started to produce brake discs for cars in 1964 and brake systems for motorcycles in 1972, while in 1975 the company ventured into Formula 1, supplying its own braking systems for Ferrari GP cars. During this half century, through technological innovation and continuous research into materials and manufacturing processes, Brembo has become one of the world\'s most prestigious brands.In 1995, Brembo was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and inaugurated a strategy for growth and, which over time would lead the Company to having production facilities throughout the world, continued revenue growth and a steadily increasing number of employees.

Brembo is now a fully fledged multinational with operations in three continents and production facilities in sixteen countries. Carbon ceramic technology

Brembo has always been a pioneer in using innovative materials to continuously improve the performance and durability of its products. Carbon/carbon has been used since the 1970s in braking systems for aerospace applications and since the 1980s in motorsports. Since 2000, carbon ceramic (CCM) has also been used in the production of braking systems for sports cars, as it offers substantial benefits in terms of performance in both wet and dry conditions, weight, comfort, corrosion resistance, durability and high-tech appeal.To develop the best possible applications for this innovative material, the company Brembo Ceramic Brake Systems SpA was founded in 2003 at the new “Kilometro Rosso” Science and Technology Park in Stezzano. This was a joint venture between Brembo and Daimler Chrysler AG for the development and production of carbon ceramic brake discs. Daimler subsequently withdrew from the venture while Brembo continued in this direction with SGL Group, with which it constituted an equal joint venture in May 2009 dedicated to carbon ceramic brake discs - Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes. The mission of the company is to develop braking systems in carbon ceramic and to manufacturer and commercialise carbon ceramic brake discs exclusively for the automobile and commercial vehicle OEM markets. The medium term objective of the company, which is actively engaged in the research and development of innovative materials, is to develop a new generation of CCM brake discs for larger scale applications.Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes employs in its two facilities at Stezzano, in the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park, and at Meitingen in Germany. Its client portfolio includes prestigious automotive marques such as: Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Daimler, Ferrari, General Motors, Lamborghini and Porsche.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty

Brembo S.p.A. (“Manufacturer”) warrants to the original user that this Product complies with Manufacturer’s published speciﬁcations and is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship (a “Covered Defect”). This warranty is limited in duration to two (2) years from the date of purchase or such longer period required by law. In the event that a Covered Defect is claimed, a claim under this Limited Warranty must be made within sixty (60) days from its discovery and within two (2) years from the date of purchase, or within such longer period required by law. If the Product is found to have a Covered Defect, the Product will be, in the Manufacturer’s sole judgment, either repaired or replaced by a new or rebuilt Product.

This limited warranty is the sole express warranty made with regard to this product and is made in lieu of all other warranties whether oral or written. All implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties, of merchant ability or fitness for a particular purpose, shall be limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Manufacturer shall have no liability for incidental, or consequential damages whatsoever and in no event shall manufacturer be liable for any damages in excess of claimant\'s purchase price for the product.

For products sold in the U.S., some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so one or more of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you speciﬁc legal rights, and you may have other legal rights which vary from state to state. All claims under this two year Limited Warranty must be made in writing within sixty (60) days following the discovery of the alleged Covered Defect, and the claimed defective Product or defective part(s) must be returned to Brembo S.p.A. At Via Brembo 25 - Curno (BG) - Italia, through the distribution chain and postage prepaid, within the two year warranty period, or within such longer period required by law. A statement of the defect must be included with the Product or parts returned, and proof of purchase by the original user identifying the Product and date of purchase (whether purchased at retail or sold by a dealer as part of the installation of the Product) must also be included.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to:- any damage to the Product caused in whole or in part by abuse, accident, ﬁre, chemical corrosion, use for other than its intended purposes, unlawful use, use in a model for which it was not designed, faulty installation, installation contrary to the Manufacturer’s published instructions, or failure to maintain the Product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s published instructions;- claims of comfort, noise, vibration or harsh riding characteristics.

This Limited Warranty sets forth the sole liability of Manufacturer hereunder, and it may not be changed by any dealer, distributor or other person.The Product has been designed and manufactured for the speciﬁc model and application indicated in Brembo HP brake upgrades catalogue and/or at Brembo Product’s distributors, both available on Brembo’s website (www.brembo.com). The Product shall be used in compliance with laws and rules in effect in the states and/or countries in which the vehicle in which the Product is installed will be operated, including but not limited to compliance with the applicable trafﬁc rules and obtaining any prior necessary authorization/homologation, approval or license in such states and/or countries.

The Manufacturer is relieved of any and all damages, claims and liabilities in case the use of the Product does not comply with such applicable laws and regulations.This Limited Warranty shall be governed, construed and interpreted in accordance with Italian Law.
