Custom resculpted and painted Breyer Halloween horse.
Breyer original \"stablemate\" sized (approximately 4 inches) \"Rearing Arabian\" model Halloween set.
Some things in the forest should stay in the forest!This is a smaller version of the Traditional sized Custom model set done by Luvjeordie Studios. The detail has been mimiced from the larger counterpart.
Sunken in muscle and entire body structure for thinning decomposition. Sunken flesh around Scapula bone, Hip joint, and exposed Cervical Vertebrae (neck bone).
Completely carved out in detail the following: Rib cage, Cervical Vertebrae, Cannon bones, Pastern bones, Tibia, Radius Bones, Sesamoid Bone joints, Humerus, Femur bones, Hip Joint bone, Pelvic bone, exposed Thoracic, Lumbar, and Sacral Vertebrae, entire left side of Skull, partial Mandible, and individual Molar and Inciser teeth carved in high detail.
Rotted flesh carved over rib cage. Carved out ripped and torn patches of decaying hide exposing muscle structure and flesh. Muscle tissue carved on right and left sides of the neck and shoulders. Stomach gastro tissue sculpted under belly. Ears carved out and tattered.
Small holes in the male parts.(Nasty aint he....)
Painted in pastels and mostly acrylics: Grey Roan (or he was anyway) Black mane and tail. Pale faded washed out looking. Crackle finish added to sparse areas of the body to show decay and rot. Antiqued within the crackle. All exposed bone done in white, cream, and antiqued in several layers of sienna, and black. Flesh done in multiple layers of pink, salmon, blue, grey, and antiqued in deep red, black. Rotted flesh done in more blue and grey. Muscle in more red. Hooves in black. Right eye done in opaque white tinted to appear clouded over in death. Highly glossed. Eye appear very wet. Left eye completely gone. Empty socket exposed. holes in the skull on the left side of the face also carved out within missing teeth in the jaw.
Entire horse coated in non-yellowing matt protectant in several layers. All exposed bone left in plain matt finish. Flesh and open rotting holes glossed for wet slimey look.
The wooden base contained a grassy hill covered in brush and greenery. Surrounding the hill are tombstones and two hand carved jack o lanterns. Inserted in the hill is an acrylic rod with a hand sculpted moon painted in soft whites and greys and textured. Then finally the moon is accented in a Glow n the Dark paint that casts an eerie glow especially when charged by holding a light source close to it for a few seconds.
