For sale is a Traditional Scale Breyer #1480 Mistral Hojris. He is the popular Salinero mold in a flashy chestnut with lots of chrome. He was produced produced for a very short period of time from 2012 - 2013.

Olympic Gold and Bronze Medalist

The pairing of Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris, a charismatic 1995 Danish Warmblood gelding affectionately called \"Alf,\" has made the dressage world take notice! In the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris\' strong performance helped their team earn the gold medal for Team Dressage. This marked the very first time Great Britain won a medal in dressage! This historic victory was made that much sweeter as it was won on the team\'s home turf. In the Individual Grand Prix Freestyle competition, Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris continued to shine and earned the bronze medal.

To those who have been following Bechtolsheimer\'s career, her 2012 Olympic achievements come as no surprise, as her years of hard work and dedication to her sport have amassed her an ever-lengthening list of accomplishments. After competing for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Laura was named British Dressage Rider of the Year. The following year, she and Mistral Hojris helped Great Britain clinch the silver medal in Team Dressage at the 2009 European Dressage Championships, and brought home the bronze medal in Grand Prix Special. Not losing any steam, they also brought home three silver medals at the 2010 World Equestrian Games (WEG): Team Grand Prix, Individual Grand Prix Special, and the Individual Grand Prix Freestyle. To top off their WEG achievements, the pair set the British International GP record for all three!

In 2011, Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris were again part of the British team at the European Dressage Championships, and helped bring home the country\'s first gold medal for Team Dressage! They also took home the bronze medal in Grand Prix Special.

With their list of accomplishments ever-increasing, the future is looking very bright for this talented pair!

He comes with his original plastic stand but doesn\'t stand sturdily. I would recommend a non factory base for stability. Mistral Hojris is in Excellent condition. He has a tiny pinhole that was painted over where his tail meets the top of his rump. He has a faint possible rub on his left ear tip. His white is not bright white. He may have a couple of shiny marks. I personally would classify this horse as LSQ. Please refer to the pictures for the exact condition. For my reference, this is #1480FBA.

I operate 2 separate store locations: 1 store in California and 1 store in New Jersey. I can automatically combine shipping for items shipping from my California location only. Additionally, discounted combined shipping is only available if your order is combined before payment is made. If you have multiple purchases from my New Jersey location, please message me before making payment to see if combined shipping is available. Please see the Payment section for additional information.

Please note that I ship using USPS Priority Mail (the exception being oversized packages). This includes significantly faster transit time than ground mail, as well as $100 insurance and is fully trackable. Please be aware that shipping weight is rated by the pound, 1 pound + 1 ounce ships at a rate of 2 pounds. I make every effort to keep the shipping weight down but I will not pack poorly simply to save money and risk damage to the horse(s).

I pack safely and ship within 24 business hours.

Express and International shipping is available. I am sorry to say that the cost of International shipping has increased greatly. For example, the cost of sending 1 Breyer horse to the UK via USPS First Class Mail costs approximately $25. This is the very cheapest option that I have found. Additionally, USPS First Class Mail is no longer rated by the ounce but is rounded up to the next pound.
