I\'ve gotten more information on this horse from other collectors. This is the Traditional Model Fighting Stallion Mold, Model 3031. Color is described as: glossy Gold Charm; solid metallic gold, white points. The date it was made is estimated at 1963(?)-1964.
It is from the Black Horse Ranch Special Run (SR) Breyer models. SRs are those models not available through all dealers and are not listed in the annual collector\'s manual.
Until the early 1970s Breyer attached foam-rubber pads (in pale orange or yellow and occasionally green) to the hind legs and tail to prevent scuffing furniture so that explains the orange substance on the hind legs and tail that I thought was glue.
It was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #31.

I added more pictures, tried to delete the earlier, darker ones and replace them but could not because there are offers. I was able to add 3 with better lighting.
That is a scratch at the right hip, easily visible in the first picture.
There\'s a much lighter scratch on the left ribs.
Overall, the paint is in glossy, good condition.
