Royal Doulton manufactured this plate for British Airways. The pattern name is Heathrow (BAW-5) and it was first used in 1989 when the airline enhanced their first class service. The gorgeous plate features a blue speckled band trimmed in gold on a white ground. The backstamp is marked British Airways with the Royal Doulton lion logo. The plate measures5 3/4inches. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to this vintage plate and moderate wear to the gold rim and almost no utensil marks.If you collect the Heathrow pattern, here\'s a nice piece to add to it.
