British East India Pattern 1844 Socket Bayonet. Thonet is steel with a spring catch of the mounting stud slot. Blade is markedwhat looks like D1 but very light. The overall bayonet measures 20-1/4” inlength with a 15-3/4” blade.This bayonet is very similarlyconfigured to the Brown Bess. The bayonet is infine untouched condition.
