Pegasus was his trusty sidekick. The winged horse was sired by Poseidon in his role as horse-god. This sculpture depicts Perseus clutching Pegasus\' mane, as Pegasus gallops at full speed, preparing to take flight. He lifts Perseus from the ground. Slung over his side is the head of Medusa, Perseus\' souvenir from their lethal battle. The handmade detail of this sculpture brings out the intriguing beauty in Pegasus.
