Before Bruce Fox became renowned as a designer of Wilton Aremtale commissioned and purchased designs, he created this LARGE Turtle/Tortoise Serving Dish with dark wood carving board. This is one of the more RARE designs and is in Very Good Vintage condition---Just a few ligt marks from occasional use...THIS PIECE IS AMAZING! This same piece is at a Palm Beach Antique Shop for over $3000! The character and attention to detail in this large centerpiece are unrivaled.
The LARGE domed shell lifts via a smaller intricate terrapin fashioned as a handle. The legs raise the carving/serving board a full 6 inches so the main dish really takes center stage, literally. The carving board is in very good condition and is removable!
Measures approximately with domed shell on: 37 x 22 x 18 inches
