This is a Bruckner Topsy Turvy Black White Cloth Doll Antique C1900 Mask Face. She is fresh to the market from a local estate. This antique doll measures about 14 inches long including the skirt. Both heads are pressed cloth mask faces. The bodies are stuffed cotton with mitt hands. The white girl has a flattened nose and a small shallow dent to each cheek, and the black girl has a shallow dent to her forehead. The white doll has a couple of small holes to the apron, one of which has an old stitched repair, and the apron has an old stitched repair at the waist stitching. Both dolls show appropriate “aging” to the fabric as you would expect from an antique cloth doll.
