This listing is for an amazing sculpture of a charging bison or buffalo by Czechoslovakian-Canadian artist, Jaro Svitorka. The artist immigrated to Vancouver, BC in 1968 and his art is very much inspired by the fauna of the Canadian wilderness.

This particular piece is carved out of iron and captures the charging buffalo perfectly. The iron is highly textured, resembling the bison\'s fur. All in all, a beautiful piece of brutalist metalwork.

6 long and 4 3/4 inches tall. Signed on the bottom and retains original sticker as well.
