The watch has been beautifully restored, with a refinished copper tonedial.

DETAILS:
Case: \'Alderman\' model. Delightful, tonneau shaped case with distinctive sweeping lugs.Original & signed‘Bulova’ on the inside of the case back. The 10kt rose gold plated bezel andstainless steel case back have been cleaned & repolished and topped offwith a new thick acrylic crystal. In general the case looks fantastic with onlyslight wear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch.
Crown: New, newly acquired \'Bulova\' stock, unsigned.Excellent.
Dial: Very eye-catching & immaculate. The originaldial has been professionally refinished to a high standard with a copper tone finish, accentuating and complimenting the rich lustre of the 10kt rosegold plated case. The numerals, ‘Bulova’ name and sub-second dial at the sixo’clock position are in black.
Hands: Hour,minute & second hands, blue/black, ‘modern’ style, newly acquired ‘Bulova’stock, looking great.
Movement: BULOVA high quality Swiss manual wind movement.This is a fine classic 10BC calibre, with 17 jewels andis marked with an‘o’ for 1944. The movement has beencleaned, oiled & adjusted, and at the time of listing is running well keeping good time and ready towear.As with all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended.
Size: Tonneaushaped approx. 37.15mm including lugs x 25.53mm (28.43mm excluding the lugs).
Band: Asmart new 16mm black leather band with gold tone buckle has been fittedcomplimenting the watch perfectly.

This is a trulyoutstanding example of a Bulova ‘Alderman’ watch from 1944 which has been restoredto appeal once again – and, as I’m sure you will agree, it certainly does. The10kt rose gold plated case and refinished dial make the watch highly desirableand unmistakable.

The watch will come in a smart new white & red presentation box withwhite interior. A nice touch, so you\'re not searching around for something toput the watch in.

- This is a vintage manual wind watch with a movement from 1944 some 71 years old, and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
