DETAILS:
Case: ‘President’ model. Highly sophisticated andnoticeably different. Its distinctive thin case incorporates slightly longsweeping lugs which are open where they meet the case. Original & signed BULOVA onthe back, with date stamp of‘L6’ for 1956. The 10kt gold plate front bezel andcase back have been cleaned & repolished and topped off with a new acryliccrystal. In general, the case looks fantastic with only slight wear/scratchescommensurate with the age of the watch.
Crown: New, newly acquired ‘Bulova’ stock, unsigned.
Dial: Complimenting the distinctiveness of the case,professionally refinished in a light shade of metallic blue. The even numberhour numerals and odd number hour batons are slightly raised on the dial andlook great. There is a sub-second dial at the six o’clock position. The‘Bulova’ name and cross hairs of the sub-second dial are gold tone.
Hands: Hour, minute and sub-second hands,are original to the watch, gilt. In great condition.
Movement: BULOVASwiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 11AC calibre with 17jewels, marked ‘L7’ for 1957. It is not unusual for the date code on the movement to vary +/- a year ortwo from that of the date on the case. The movement has been cleaned, oiled& adjusted, and is running well, keeping good time ready to wear.Aswith all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended.
Size: Round, measuring approx. 32.23mm in diameterexcluding the lugs, (Approx. 39.35mm including the lugs).
Band: A smart new 18m blue paddedleather band with gold coloured buckle has been fitted complementing thetimepiece perfectly.

This is a truly outstanding example of a Bulova‘President’ watch from 1956, some 58 years old, which has been refurbished toappeal once again – and as I’m sure you will agree, it certainly does. The 10ktgold plated case and refinished dial make the watch highly desirable andunmistakable.If you have always wanted to own a classicwristwatch this charming Bulova ‘President’ watch may be the one for you.
The watch will come in a smart new black & andblue coloured presentation box with white cushion inside. A nice touch, soyou\'re not searching around for something to put the watch in. This box is notpart of the listing, it is a gift, free of charge.

- This is a vintage manual wind watch with a movement from 1957, and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
