DETAILS:

Case: Delightful, tonneau shapedwith bold, unmistakableangular lugs and enhanced with gorgeous flourishes to the bezel. Original & signed ‘Bulova’. The10kt gold plated bezel and stainless steel case back have been cleaned &repolished and topped off with a new thick flat topped acrylic crystal. Ingeneral the case looks fantastic with virtually no wear/scratches present.

Crown: New,newly acquired ‘Bulova’ stock. Excellent.

Dial: Very eye-catching & immaculate. The originaldial has been professionally refinished to a high standard in white,accentuating and complimenting the rich lustre of the 10kt gold plated case.The quarter hour positions are stylised numerals whilst the remaining hourpositions in the form of dots. All are slightly raised on the dial and in goldtone. There is a recessed sub second dial at the six o’clock position. The ‘Bulova’name, minute chapter & sub second dial are in black.

Hands: Hour, minute & second hands, gilt,‘Alpha’ style, original, looking great.

Movement: BULOVAhigh quality Swiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 11AC calibre with 17 jewels and is marked ‘L8’ for1958. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted and is running well. Ithas been keeping good time prior to and during the listing process. As with allvintage watches regular servicing is recommended.

Size: Tonneau shaped measures approx.37.25mm long including lugs X 27.44mm wide (excluding crown). Approx. 30.08mmexcluding the lugs.

Band: Smart new 15mm black leather bandwith gold tone buckle has been fitted complementing the watch perfectly.

General comments:

This is a truly outstanding example of a Bulovawatch from 1958 which has been restored to appeal once again – and as I’m sureyou will agree, it certainly does. The 10kt gold plated case and refinished whitedial make the watch highly desirable and an unmistakable collectors’ item.

The watch will come in asmart new pink tone presentation box with red cushion inside. A nice touch, soyou\'re not searching around for something to put the watch in.

IMPORTANT DETAILS TO NOTE

This is a vintage manual wind watch with a movement from 1958 and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
