A beautiful book, full polished blue calf with gilt tooled border, gilt edges to the boards and a gilt decorated spine. All edges marbled - a superb, solid, luxury edition. Title on red leather label, all clean, barely rubbed - a magnificent binding for a superb book. Later edition, undated. Complete with 16 single page plates and many text illustrations, see photos for contents. Externally very clean, see photos. Inside there are original marbled end papers, later book plate, front hinge slightly weak, text block very clean indeed too. Binding is strong. 492 pp. Size is 13 cm by 19 cm approx.
