I recently acquired - from a new consignor - a wonderful collection of vintage hand fans which I will be listing all week. This amazing and beautiful antique Japanese hand fan features very different hand-painted scenes on each side - it looks like 2 different artists created them! The leaves on one side are gold - with an elegant detailed floral theme, the other side is blue with a whimsical ocean scene - fish are swimming and jumping, enhanced with silver paint. This fan measures 20\" across from corner to corner when completely open. The sticks are wood and in excellent condition. Condition is very good.
