J.M.W Turner was an English Romanticist landscape painter. At his time Turner was considered a controversial figure in his day however he is now regarded as the artist whoelevated landscape painting to an eminence rivalling history painting.
CONDITION
In original dark blue cloth binding with gilt stamping to front board and spine. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to the joints, particularly to the head and tail as well as to the head and tail of the spine. Some bumping to the extremities. Prior owner\'s stamp to recto of front endpaper, Napoleonic Library, F G McKee, Carisbrooke House, Twickenham Park.Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with scattered spots to the first and last few pages, otherwise generally clean. Overall: VERY GOOD.
