CASE:

The 3 piece double hinged case to this beautiful watch is solid 18 carat gold with a metal dustcover. It has a beautiful foliate (Acanthus) hand engraved pattern to the case back which is in beautiful condition. I can see no dings to the case side or the caseback to the eye. All of the covers push to well. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining wonderfully, as only hi grade SOLID GOLD can. The dust cover is in good condition (showing a little tarnishing which is normal) and is made from gold colored metal.THE WATCH MEASURES 3.5CMS (35MM) IN DIAMETER. The hinges to the front rear show no signs of abuse. The inside of the back cover is fully hallmarked for solid 18k gold.

DIAL:

This lovely collectible watch has a STUNNING original snow white fabulously enamelled dial with a beautiful pink centre. It is unsigned, and is in excellent condition. It has beautiful sharp and crisp nice BLACK Arabic painted numerals which are enclosed by a beautifully designed enamel painted gold highlighted borders. Everything is crisp and clear with no apparent numeral wear.The crystal is brand new and is plastic. As such it is in minty condition.The beautiful antique \'spade\' style watch hands are golden steel and are in excellent condition.

MOVEMENT:

This is a lovely condition Swiss made unsigned crown wind and pin set JEWELED LEVER movement which was untypical of the movements at this time as most of this type of watch was fitted with the cheaper to make cylinder movement. This movement has a nice compensated balance. It has minty steel screws. The watch runs and has been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. The watch is keeping decent time but please dont expect accuracy as this watch is over 100 years old. It winds smoothly and the pin setting works as it should. The crown is marked for solid 18k gold and is in excellent condition. The chain ring is gold plated and is in good condition.
