Offered here is a circa 1920s Navaho weaving that measures 5 feet 4inches long by 3 foot 5 incheswide or 64” x 41”. It is attributed tothe Crystal Trading Post weaving area and is in excellent condition. It was hand-woven by an expert weaver on aprimitive upright loom of all Native hand-shorn, hand-carded and nicelyhandspun smooth, old long staple Churro sheep wool, both weft & warp. This is a nicely executed 4 column rug with 4rows of connected serrated diamonds with black & white reciprocal swallowtail side borders. Free postage &insurance to you are included with this sale.

We obtained this vintage Native American textile ona rug hunt in Santa Fe, NM just to offer you here on . It has a smooth, even weft count averaging 18per inch and a warp count of 6 per inch.The selvage cords are all in excellent, original condition. Warp selvages are 2-spiral cords and weftselvages are 2 spiral cords. The cornersare all four tight, original and in excellent condition. The tassels are allfour original and excellent. It has notbeen cleaned, is fairly clean now & comes from a non-smoking home. Both sides are shown in photos above. Colors are excellent in this piece of oldAmerican Indian art and they are: hand carded & blended brownish grey,ivory white & natural black along with hand dyed aniline cardinal red.
