As seen in photo #2, I have a pair of these cups, made for Richard Briggs Co of Boston. This sale is for one cup and saucer only. The other set will be listed next Sunday night if this one sells this week.
No chips, cracks or crazing. On the top rim of the cups, the gold was touched up during the manufacturing process in a 1/2\" area. This isn\'t obvious, you have to look for it. Located in roughly the same area on both cups, if you look at them with a magnifying glass, you can see they were never chipped. It\'s just that something went wrong while applying gold to the rims and they were touched up. This being the case, I\'m comfortable saying that the gold is 100% intact. The gold has taken on a reddish cast in some areas.
The cup measures 3 5/8\" in diameter by 2 5/8\" high and the saucer is 5 1/2\" in diameter.
