The stripes are 14k gold sheet (acid tested), soldered onto the body, so they are raised, then the whole item is gold plated. Front and back of the case have the same design. Inscribed inside to a retiree with date 1946. Weighs 176.3 grams or 5.66 Troy ounces. Measures 5.5\" X 3\". Condition is almost perfect, just has a couple of ultra tiny dents inside the corners.
