The bank is marked on the bottom in the cast iron \"Shephard Hardware 1897\". It is in new working condition. No damage. The bank works by placing the coin on the paddle in the girls hand then the lever by the dog is pushed. The dog the \"speaks\" or opens his mouth the paddle then turns to the side and drops the coin into the bench the girl is sitting on. As you will note there is a key wired to the girls hand this is to retrieve the coins from the bottom of the bank. The key fits and is skeleton type of key.
