This exquisite vase came out of an estate in Turners Fall, Ma. It is signed and stamped! Base stamped with Royal Doulton England logo with Doulton & Slaters Patent stamp which dates this to 1886-1902. It is a bulbous shape, highly textured surface called CHINE & CHINE (a lace design created by using moist lace or fabrics into wet clay) with foliate motifs circling the top and coming up from the bottom. The ecru is a lace mosiac-like repeating flower design the catches the light and GLIMMERS as does mosiac pieces. Colors are ecruwith brown, green and royal blue accents. There are no chips or cracks. There is a medalion flower on the upper ring which is missing,otherwise in phenomenal shape. 8\"inches tall & 9.5\"inches wide. Opening 7\"inches and bottomcircumference is 5\"inches.It weighs 3lbs 14oz.As it was stamped Doulton & Slaters means this was a special piece as this mark was used on special items.
