Presented for sale is this Antique Edwardian Solid Sterling Silver Pepper Pot, hallmarked for Chester 1901 by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.This antique Edwardian solid sterling silver pepper pot is of a small baluster shape with a pierced pull off lid and is finished standing on three curved hoof feet. The hallmarks are all rubbed but I can make them out to be the makers mark G.N over R.H, the Lion Passant denoting solid sterling silver, the Chester assay office Wheatsheaf and the date letter A for 1901, the lid is also hallmarked with the Lion Passant and date letter A, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the items description. Measuringjust under 21/2\" high approx. it is in goodused condition with three tin light indents to the body, the lid finial has a slight lean and there is a shallow split part way through the back of one of the feet nothing serious and commensurate with age/use and it weighs32grams or 1.02 troy ounces by my electronic scales.
