This is an EXTREMELY RARE, ONE OF A KIND originalhand-painted animation Production Cel created for the animation production film\"Another Froggy Evening\", featuring the popular, seldom seen Marvin the Martianwho goes to intergalactic war with anyone who stands in his way to destroying the Earth,& the singing/dancing Michigan J. Frog frog-size, c/w original\"Certificate of Authenticity\".

\"Another Froggy Evening\" saw thereturn of Jones\' mythic character, Michigan J. Frog as hetraveled through the ages. Michigan J. Frog is depicted as being thesize of a normal sized frog, however at the end of the cartoon he is the samesize as Marvin the Martian when they sing their famous duet. It is revealed in this 1995 sequel that theFrog\'s croaking noise is actually Martian for \"Would you like to hear mesing?\"... and Michigan J Frog is shown to have caused problems throughout history to those greedy souls who try to exploit him ...a prologue which shows he has lived for centuries, from the cave era (Dawn of Man) to the space age - and with the same result for both the frog and its helpless finders...

\"Another Foggy Evening\" is a tribute to \"One Froggy Evening\" which marked the debut of Michigan J.Frog,and contained a wide variety of musical entertainment, with songsranging from \"Hello! Ma Baby\" and \"I\'m Just Wild AboutHarry\"... The short was released onDecember 31, 1955 as part of Warner Bros.\' Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.

In 1948, Chuck Jonesdirected the classic Looney Tunes cartoon \"Haredevil Hare\", whichintroduced the world to space traveler Marvin the Martian, who consideringthe fact that he only appeared in seven Looney Tunes/ Merrie Melodiesshorts, his success andrecognizability are nothing short of phenomenal. What\'s even more amazing is that while Marvin has one of the most distinctive voices in cartoons, this pint-sized, tennis-shoed alien actually has no mouth!

This highlycollectible Production Cel is in MINT condition andis ***hand-signed bythe late great Mr. Chuck Jones***.

This cel hasnever been displayed; it has been well storedsincepurchased directly from the former Warner Bros. Gallery Store at Caesars Forum in LasVegas in 1996.

This Vintage Marvinthe Martian & MichiganJ. Frogwith itssharp colour& clear darksignatureis tastefully andprofessionally framed and matted.

Framed measures 20\" x 17\", Cel measures 12\" x9\" .

Linda Jones original Certificate of Authenticity\"COA\" issued in 1996 authenticates that this Animation Production Celwas created for the animated cartoon production film entitled \"AnotherFroggy Evening\" directed by ChuckJones. For each slight movement in the action a character, a single drawing wascreated by an animator. The image wasthen transferred to an acetate sheet and carefully hand painted byexpert cel painters. These cel/paintingswere then photographed in succession, over master background painting on motionpicture film.

This production cel is identified bynumber CJ 02-170-020 and is personally hand-signed byMr. Chuck Jones. (1912–2002)

Steven Spielberg called One Froggy Evening \"the Citizen Kane of animated film.\" In 1994 it was voted#5 of the 50 Greatest Cartoonsof all time by members of the animation field. In 2003 the United States Library of Congress deemed the film \"culturally significant\" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

This wonderfulpiece of cartoon history would be a superb addition to any Chuck Jones/Marvin/Michigan Frogcollection and should onlyincrease in value..
