Up For sale Is Four (4) 1/24 Thaler Silver Coins From The Medieval Reign of King Sigismund III.
Obverse: Eagle with shield in breast
Reverse: 24 (representing 1/24th Thaler) within orb, dividing the 2 digit date
History: English Translation: Sigismund III, by the grace of God, king of Poland, grand duke of Lithuania, Ruthenia, Prussia, Masovia, Samogitia, Livonia, and also hereditary king of the Swedes, Goths and Vandals.
Sigismund was elected King of Poland and reigned 1587–1632. By paternal inheritance, he also succeeded in 1592 as King of Sweden but was deposed in 1599. His successor, Charles IX of Sweden, officially gained the Swedish throne in 1604. From his grandmother Bona Sforza he inherited the title of King of Jerusalem.Please refer to the pictures for conditions and grades. All seem low because I have a hard time making out either or both of the numbers above the orb that represents the date because of worn. These would have been made from 1920-1933. What is pictured is what will be received.
