You\'ll have to look twice, because while this looks like a WOODEN Shaker style finger lapped box, its actually a painted CERAMIC oval large trinket box that fools the eye until you touch it! It had me fooled too until I picked it up and felt the cool porcelain in my hands!

Hand painted artist unknown, but very detailed box, is painted on top with a pair of bells with pink poinsettia in bloom, polka dotted ribbon banner and berried holly leaves on a green background. Sides of box are faux painted to resemble blonde wood with dappled patina! Please see pictures to view details. Box is large measuring 7.5\" across by 5\" wide by 3\" tall, this is a good size for pair of gloves, candies, sewing supplies or a small collection of objects needing storage in an attractive seasonal fashion. Interior is painted a solid aqua color to coordinate, age of object is unknown, but was found in estate sale, so is not a brand new store item, it is something someone made with loveand a good hand for artistry in recent past.
